The Sweet Life- and life is sweet at LDV where a cozy bar atmosphere
combined with an Italian inspired menu of delicious thin crust
pizza (baked in our imported wood burning oven), tasty appetizers,
soul-satisfying pastas, hearty entrees and delectable desserts
provide the perfect ambiance for all occasions or just
when you want to “hang out” after a long day.
LDV Pizza Bar is the inspiration of the Cosentino family; Rocco,
Catherine and Maria who chose to follow in their father Franco’s
footsteps – the chef extraordinaire of La Dolce Vita Ristorante for
The operations at LDV Pizza Bar have now passed to the capable
hands of Claudio Carnali and his wife May who are well suited to
continue the tradition.
Claudio Carnali is no stranger to the Calgary restaurant scene, having
been the owner of the respected Da Paolo Ristorante, Il Gallo Nero Bar
and Grill followed by a successful 4 year run at Buon Giorno
Ristorante. And Claudio just happened to work as maitre’d for
Franco at his landmark La Dolce Vita Ristorante in the early ‘90’s
making this a made-to-order homecoming of sorts!!!!!!!

Italian Fries (ga, v)
Hand cut fries, finished in the wood burning oven with rosemary, parmesan cheese and garlic. Served with a truffle aioli and ketchup.
Diced tomatoes dressed in garlic, olive oil, oregano and fresh basil. Served on Toasted pizza bread.
Lightly tossed in flour, deep fried, served with a spicy tomato sauce.
Toasted sliced baguettes with truffle pate & spicy olive tapenade
Fresh Fiore di Latte cheese. Breaded and fried, served in a light Tomato sauce.
